To host our website, we use a third-party service,, which is run by Automattic Inc. We use a standard WordPress service to collect anonymous information about users’ activity on the site, for example the number of users viewing pages on the site. To monitor website performance, we use Google Analytics. We collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behaviour patterns. This information is processed in the way that it those not identify you.

We do use cookies on our website. If you do not wish to consent you can adjust the settings on your computer to decline any cookies. This can easily be done by activating the reject cookies setting on your internet browser.

4.Who do we share your personal data with?

In order for us to provide our services to you, we share your personal data with our trusted service providers described below. We will never sell any of your personal data to a third party.

When you purchase products from us we might share your personal information with our trusted third-party providers such as delivery companies, payment gateways, manufacturers, insurers, delivery couriers and service technicians. We may share information with fraud prevention agencies, or if we necessary, share information in order to exercise or protect our legal rights, users, systems or services.

When you make a purchase, you will be transferred to one of our secure payment gateways; SagePay, Amazon or PayPal. Smart Space Shop does not have access to your Credit or Debit Card details at any time, these details are stored by our payment gateways. In order to authorise your payment one of our trusted staff must log onto a secure system and this is done on the day of dispatch. Smart Space Shop can only authorise the amount of your order, once the payment is claimed we are unable to authorise any further funds.

To ensure that your credit, debit or charge card is not being used without your consent, we will validate name, address and other personal information supplied by you during the order process against appropriate third-party databases. In performing these checks personal information provided by you may be disclosed to a registered Credit Reference Agency which may keep a record of that information. This is done only to confirm your identity; a credit check is not performed, and your credit rating will not be affected.

We may need to disclose your personal data to our insurers where we believe that it is required under our contractual relationship with our insurance provider to do so.

In each case, we will ensure that the service provider is only allowed to use your personal data in order to provide the services to us and for no other purpose.

Our transaction information system, like our payment system, utilises Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology with 256bit encryption, making it virtually impossible for any unauthorised parties to gain access to any information that you send to us. We provide Geo Trust certificated SSL services to give you complete peace of mind when shopping with us.  Your data is protected and only accessible by employees who need it to carry out their job responsibilities. We also ensure that there are physical security measures in our office which unable access to your personal data by other parties.

Retention of your personal data.
In broad terms, we will only retain your personal data for as long as is necessary for the purposes described in this Data Protection Policy. This means that the retention periods will vary according to the type of the data and the reason that we have the data in the first place.
